Piston Assembly of mud pump is a key component of the hydraulic end system of a mud pump. Its main function is to generate discharge pressure through reciprocating motion, thereby achieving the transportation of mud.
Structural Composition: The piston assembly of a mud pump typically consists of a piston core, rubber sleeve, snap ring, pressure plate, etc. The piston core is generally made of high-strength alloy steel such as 42CrMo to ensure sufficient strength and rigidity; the piston sleeve is often made of materials such as nitrile rubber and polyurethane rubber, serving a sealing and wear-resistant function.
Valve Assembly of mud pump is a key component of the hydraulic end of the mud pump, directly participating in the high-pressure mud circulation process.
Structural Composition: The valve assembly of a mud pump typically consists of a valve body assembly and a valve seat. The valve body assembly includes the valve body, valve sleeve, valve nut, guide frame, pressure cap, snap ring, steel ball, etc.
Working Principle: The valve assembly controls the flow of mud through precise opening and closing actions. When the piston moves backward, the pressure inside the cylinder decreases, the valve assembly opens, and slurry is drawn into the cylinder; when the piston moves forward, the pressure inside the cylinder increases, the valve assembly closes, and the slurry is discharged.
Classification: Based on the internal bore of the valve seat, valve assemblies can be classified into through-hole valves, three-rib valves, and four-rib valves. The term "valve assembly" usually refers to a through-hole valve.
Material Characteristics: Valve body and seat: Mostly made of high-quality alloy steel 20CrMnTi, carburized and quenched, with a surface hardness greater than HRC60. The conical surface is precision ground, providing good sealing performance and wear resistance.
Valve rubber: Commonly made of polyurethane, featuring oil resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. The operating temperature is generally -35℃ to 100℃, and the operating pressure can reach 40MPa.
Performance Requirements: The valve assembly must possess good sealing performance to prevent slurry leakage; it must be able to withstand high-frequency impacts and wear, possessing high strength, hardness, and toughness to ensure stable operation under high-pressure environments.
Application Areas
Primarily used in oil drilling, geological exploration, and other fields, it is a key component ensuring effective mud circulation and pressure regulation during drilling operations.
